Community Emergency Plan

The effects of most emergencies can be efficiently dealt with by the professional emergency services using the resources normally available to them.  However, the loss of utilities (i.e. electricity, water) over a wide area, even for a short period, would create considerable problems. A community could be cut off from outside assistance and resources as a result of flooding or severe and prolonged winter weather. Fortunately, the risk of large scale disasters is very low but in recent years some communities have had to rely on their own resources for short periods of time. When such an emergency occurs it happens swiftly, leaving little time to prepare.

In conjunction with South Norfolk Council, Framingham Earl Parish Council developed a community emergency plan.
